Monochromatic Monday

top: H&M (similar). shorts: Zara. heels: Zara. bag: Hermes (thrifted). scarf: Lulu Guinness (thrifted; similar “key to my heart” scarf.)

I was dying to buy these shoes at Zara, but for some reason I held back…IDK WHY! And the day I wanted to buy them, they sold out online. SOLD OUT. I wanted to cry. Until, I was “venting” with a friend and was going to show her a similar style, and there they were. Only one left, and in my size. A GIFT FROM SHOE HEAVEN! Thank you Zara angels. They’re the perfect pop of color to my monochromatic look on this cloudy day.

2 Outfits. 1 Jumpsuit.

Basics: Leopard Jumpsuit, Forever 21 (Similar). Strappy Platforms, Jessica Simpson.

Outfit #1: Vest, Express. Clutch, Thrifted (last seen here).
This outfit is perfect for brunch/lunch, shopping, or an outdoor event during the day. I topped the jumpsuit with a classic long fitted vest and tied it together with the belt that comes with the jumpsuit. Kept it sweet and simple for a day time look with the woven clutch.

Outfit #2: Crop Top, Bebe (similar). Necklace, Express. Clutch, Marc Jacobs.
After your daytime activities, you’ve made plans to go out at night. But, you really don’t know what to wear. I’ve got an idea. Keep the jumpsuit on and add a crop top to give the illusion that you’re wearing high-waisted pants. With a touch of punk, a statement necklace makes the outfit complete.

Why should a jumpsuit be limited to be worn as a “jumpsuit”? I’m one to maximize the use of anything I buy. Clearly, you can see that here. So why not have fun with it?!

TWOsday

[top: H&M (similar). skirt: Thrifted. shoes: ASOS (similar). bag: Thrifted Hermes. cuffs: Forever 21 (similar here and here).]

Lately, I’ve been adding double cuffs to most of my long sleeve tops. I love that edgy/cleopatra feel it adds to any kind of outfit. It almost as if they could be part of my top and not as my jewelry. My kind of arm candy…. other than my boyfriend.

P.S. Don’t forget to vote for ASHLEYSIXTO.COM on Refinery 29‘s “The Next Big Style Blogger Contest” (You can find my photo by clicking on “popular contestants” then scrolling down to find me decked out in polka dots…All you have to do is just click on the heart….or you can go here and follow the links.) I’ve been getting feedback that once you log into vote, the vote won’t register. You have to go back to the picture once you’ve logged in to make sure the heart turns pink. Thank you & Happy Tuesday!

Damaskin’ it Today

[top: H&M. jeans: Forever 21. booties: ShoeMint. purse: thrifted Hermes. watch: Nixon Spur (similar).]

I have a thing for thrift stores, what can I say. AND YES. You read that right! “Thrifted Hermes”! I found this bad boy of a purse at a local Goodwill this past weekend. I wish there were more things to say about my amazing find, but I was just as speechless when I found it hanging inside a plastic crate in the back of the store except when I literally screamed “I LOVE YOU GOODWILL!” when I was told the price. Crazy but appropriate for a girl like me. Disclaimer: I’m not at fault if any of my readers pass out right now when they read that it was ONLY EIGHT DOLLARS. Now you understand my scream? Yeah. I LOVE YOU GOODWILL for having a basic set price on all your purses.
