Monthly Cravings: August

I can’t believe it’s August already! Where did the year go? But I’m not one to be complaining for this month since it is….my birthday month! I still have no idea what I want to do or what I’m going to wear, but I do know a few things that are already on the birthday list!

First thing: Borrowing from the boys. (Sorta) As you can tell, Topshop has all the jackets I want. Take a look at that cargo and leather jacket! I was in love with the Zara one last season, but never got myself to spend the money on it. Even though I already have a cargo jacket, one is not enough. It’s a huge trend this upcoming fall season! I’ve been looking into maybe buying a vintage one and having a little fun with it.

My love for Fall clothes is so great, but unfortunately in Miami you have a slim to no chance of ever getting to wear all the beautiful styles. But that doesn’t stop me, I will sacrifice and try to cram it all in those spurts of cold weather! (It’s what I usually do) So for this season, I’m praying for some cold weather to come to Miami for just a little bit!

I’m not only craving cargo jackets this month, in case you were wondering. Here’s what else is at the top of my birthday wish list:

Doing the Polka on Twosday

top: H&M (similar & love this one from ASOS). jeans & red pants: H&M (similar). heels: Nine West. purse: Michael Kors. watch: Nixon. sunglasses: House of Harlow.

Peplum. The epitome of the lady like fit. I’ve never dabbled into the trend until now. Believe it or not, it’s my first peplum purchase. Try saying that three times fast. I couldn’t decide which way I liked better so I shot the top with two different styles. Toned down with distressed denim and funked up with matching red skinnies. While doubling up on outfit choices, I also doubled up on denim with my heels. Don’t they remind you a bit of Charlotte Olympia? Love that about these shoes. My own “steal” find.
