Splurge vs Steal: Burberry Poncho

SplurgeVSSteal_Burberry Poncho

The weather in Spain has quickly dropped in temperature, especially during the evenings, so I’m finding myself staring at my closet and trying different ways to layer up instead of going for my jackets as first instinct. The cooler weather is quickly ushering in creative ways for you and I to keep warm and one “hot” item this season is the cape. From cape blazers to oversized scarves as ponchos, it was all over the runways for Fall 2014 and all over my mind at the moment.

The most eye-catching poncho at the moment is definitely the Custom Burberry Poncho. While we all wish this poncho was on our shoulders reading our initials, It’s already been spotted on Olivia Palermo, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Cara Delevingne. (Lucky babes)

But don’t fret my loves, I’ve found the almost perfect alternative via the online boutique Choies. And if you’re looking to take this steal to the next level, I would suggest a mini DIY project and have your initials embroidered onto the poncho – score!

I love how this poncho was paired on the runway – A prairie like dress with tons of movement, booties and a structured bag.

Mikoy Trunk Show @ Cattiva Boutique

Over the weekend, I headed over to Cattiva Boutique in Coral Gables for a Mikoy Swimwear Trunk Show.

The boutique is so greatly decorated with an array of beautiful clothing and accessories (even for the home!). The owners are just as gorgeous as the store with an impeccable Miami-inspired style.

I’m a big fan of shopping locally, so I was excited to swing by & support….and sip some champagne!

I was pretty obsessed with these metallic globe lamps that hung in the center of the store.

I’m wearing : All Cattiva Boutique Clothing & Zara Shoes

love the lace & leather detailing on the skirt!

I had such a fun time watching the cute bikini models walk down the grass runway in their one of a kind Mikoy suits…I mean, how cute are those bikinis?

The collection was filled with fun prints, bright colors and a mix of textures and fits. I took this bright number home with me:

In love with the knotted detailing in the back & the fact that it’s reversible! This makes me more anxious for summer time! Now, it’s time to get bikini ready…

Can’t wait to head back to Cattiva Boutique for any special occasion that comes up soon! I’ve got my eye on a few jumpsuits… especially this nude & ivory lace one…ohhhhh.

Cattiva Boutique is located in Miami, Florida
