July 2, 2016

it’s been a while since I’ve last posted here, but with good reason of course.

it’s been almost 6 months and it has been a whirlwind. but you know me, i seem to love being busy and picking up on new projects and adventures. let’s see… we had the SpinGallery opening in January, pregnancy, we reopened SpinGallery in June and did some refresh to the shop. did I mention, pregnancy?

i know i always come back on here and say I’m really going to commit to starting this up again, and then i don’t. but i really miss catching up with you guys and really documenting my every day life. so, here we go. TAKE: i don’t even know anymore.

Spin has a new sleek and matured look going on these days. We closed up for about a week, did some renovations and we’re back up and ready for a *hot* summer. We’ve been working so hard at bringing Miami (and the interwebs) fresh and unique content all while staying true to our homegrown roots. Refining our look and style are just some of the few things.

I miss Illiett, she’s in China. can I be in China too? she’s such a big part of our workshops + events side of Spin, she is seriously amazing. you need to come to one of the workshops!

We’ve also brought in Elisa to the team, she’s obviously my Spin muse if you haven’t noticed. because, i KNOW you’re following @SpinGallery on instagram and you’ve seen her. if you’re not……………… better right now.

she’s curating our newest RE/SPIN line at the shop and we’re so excited about it. read more about it here.

Alec…is leaving to NY and I’m so sad. what the hell am I going to do without him by my side here? BUT I’m super proud of all his work and growth and I can’t wait to see what he accomplishes at PRATT (hello, that’s major key alert.) ps. he took the picture of Elisa up there, the one in yellow. *time to pick up your drool now*

hi there, remember me? I’m pregnant now and it’s the coolest weirdest thing ever. i’m going to be a mom. it’s awesome.

adrian and i are expecting a little monster, i mean beautiful son and we’re naming him AXEL. that kid needs to be a rock star. or just cool. he’ll definitely be cooler than me. i mean, he isn’t even born yet and he has a *growing* shoe collection. that’s my boy!

MET Gala 2013: My Favorite Looks!

in NO particular order: here are my favorite looks from last night’s MET Gala 2013 in NY. Makes me just want to get decked out and hit the town, just because!

Which celebrity [punk] rocked your favorite look?

(obsessed with the details in Minka Kelly’s french braid up do! definitely keeping this as inspiration for the summer)

I loved her look so much I had to post two pictures.

There’s no words other than… DAMN GIRL.

She was the epitome of punk last night. With the see-through accents to give off sooooo much sex appeal and the drastic hair color change, she was drop dead GORGEOUS.

RECAP: Thanksgiving

What I Wore: H&M Peplum Top + Leather Pants, Shoe Mint Heels

We DIY’ed funny photo booth props! This is always a fun project to work on for any kind of party.

Stella wasn’t too pleased that she wasn’t included in the family picture.

This is a Brie puff pastry I made. Check out the recipe here! (It was soooo good)

The food was delicious!

And we ended the evening by the fire reading different stories around the idea of Thanksgiving. (I read the story of the golf balls: “Jar of Life“) We also played a guessing game, where at the beginning of the night, we were all asked to write down a few things we were most thankful for this year (anonymously) and we all had to guess who it was.

Overall, the love and laughs shared throughout the entire night are ones I’ll never forget. This was a very special Thanksgiving.
