What to Wear Wednesday: SUMMER!

(image)

Today marks the official 1st day of Summer! I’m so excited, even though here in Miami the weather always seems like it’s summer. Because of the great weather, what better to wear than shorts? I’ve put together a few outfits for today’s “What to Wear: Summer”.

what to wear: summer

This is a PERFECT summer outfit. You’ve got an airy blouse, fun shorts, a color blocking clutch, and really cute platforms! This is a great outfit for almost any summer occasion.

blouse: TopShop. shorts: Repurposed by AshleySixto. clutch: ASOS. platforms: Forever 21.

Summer is famous for it’s vacation time and road trips. So when I saw this shirt, I instantly fell in love! It’s a really cool statement piece for any casual outfit, or even if you’re going on a trip.

tee: TopShop. watch: LaMer. shorts: Repurposed by AshleySixto. sandals: TopShop.

Love how the Repurposed by Ashley Sixto shorts were styled by Ohm Boutique. Incorporating all the summer trends of bright colors, bralettes as tops, and staying cool with hats. You can find all the items at their Facebook page or at my online store (photos 1, 2, 3)

Father's Day in the Keys

As per my father’s request, we started off the day at one of his favorite breakfast spots. Harriette’s Restaurant in the keys has been open for 30 years and is the perfect hole in the wall breakfast spot.

One of the best eggs benedicts I’ve ever had… yum!

We took a stop at Morada Bay to enjoy the view and the beautiful weather.

{I’m wearing: Forever21 top (similar), H&M jeans (similar), Karen Walker sunnies, Nixon Spur watch & Ohm Boutique jellies (similar)}

Our last stop in the Keys was at Robbie’s to enjoy fresh coconut water and feed the tarpon. It’s a tradition for us to stop here every time we are in the area.

The coconuts were hand picked, chilled, and carved right in front front of us. Once we were finished with all the water, they cut it in half and made us spoons out of the shell to eat the inside. This was really cool! – I love coconut!

(please notice my sister’s facial expression)

(….and now mine. I was convinced that tarpon was about to leave off with my hand)

My Dad still hasn’t stopped talking about how much he enjoyed the day. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend! XOXO Happy Monday!

BBQ on a Tuesday Evening & Some New Beginnings.

top: Forever 21 (Similar). pants: HM (Similar). loafers: Steve Madden (steal!) watch: Nixon.

Yesterday afternoon, before the Miami Heat game, Adrian decided to throw some steaks on the grill. It’s always fun to watch him “in action” cooking. It’s something he really loves to do! While he did his thing, his cousin and I sat back and enjoyed a glass of wine. I really enjoy afternoons like these.

But other than enjoying a delicious meal, I did get to start a new venture with Repurposed by AshleySixto. This week marks the beginning of the new collection: TUXEDO. I cannot wait to show you all the finished products! But for now here’s a sneaky peaky:

Head to my Shop the Closet page now to see some of the new TUXEDO Repurposed by AshleySixto. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to own a one of a kind piece.
