splurge: Zimmermann vs steal: Target.
In light of this week’s Miami Mercedes-Benz Swim Fashion Week, today’s Splurge vs Steal is all about the bikini! Aside from whatever many people think of Target and their bikinis, I love them! They’re very affordable and up to the current trends… As you can see.
Now, are the Target bottoms more “full coverage” than most popular (expensive) brands? Yes, that’s why most of us women are willing to spend a little more cash to make sure our back end looks on point. But I’ve noticed that they’ve gotten a lot better with that. I’ve been able to find a few that don’t look like I’m wearing a diaper or make my butt disappear.
Living in a beachy city, you can never go wrong with “too many” bathing suits. So it’s a winning steal for me!

This two-outfit twosday, I decided to remix the striped dress I wore on vacation. In Tennessee, it’s a mistake to waste space in your luggage with a pair of heels. They will never ever ever get used. I paired the dress casually with a pair of espadrille flats from Soludos & simple jewelry. So for me, last week was also a vacation for my toesies.
But once I got back, I couldn’t wait to put on my brand new heels and head over to a breakfast date with Adrian for some good Cuban food… Back to reality!

This dress is a perfect summer staple! It can be dressed down really casual or spiced up with a pair of platforms and layered necklaces. You can even add a hint of nautical pieces for a really cute day time outfit.

I’m in LOVE with the spiked trend! But you know me, my wallet doesn’t always agree. Especially when I found the Christian Louboutins. But have no fear my poor little soul, GoJane has got just what I’m looking for. For less than $40 I couldn’t dare think twice.

I’m most familiar with the Louboutin pair thanks to the Kardashian girls. I loved the chunky platform but not the $600+ price. As most of you know by now, I went on my usual hunt. I found a similar pair from Steve Madden, but something in me wasn’t 100% satisfied. So I continued to search, and here my friends Forever 21 won my heart over!
They just arrived in the mail and they’re gorgeous! Can’t wait to wear them out. Keep your eyes posted, they’ll be making their appearance pretty soon.
