it’s obviously been a while since I’ve put together a round up of “looks i’m craving” for the blog, but it doesn’t mean i’ve been out of touch with putting together outfits. it’s what I do on a weekly basis: for a personal client, editorial shoot or brand campaign.

what really excites me for styling is nailing the look – especially at an unbeatable price – and making the person wearing it feel good. there’s nothing greater than hearing “wow, I had no idea I could put that together and for that price.” it’s so fulfilling.

so i’m back at it again bringing together three of my favorite kind of summer looks at the moment and all under $100 each. you can’t go wrong with maximizing your benjamins.

update: I finally got to experience my first “snow day”

headed up to sierra nevada for a weekend in the mountains. this “staycation” was a very spontaneous decision to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary a weekend early (I still can’t believe it’s been a year already, where has the time gone?) we’ve been working really hard this year and deserved some R&R in a new place and setting…..and weather.

I had never seen (real) snow before so when I saw on our weather forecast for the weekend I was literally jumping for joy. I stayed up to watch the small little snow flurries fall from the sky and melt quicker than I could scream “It’s snowing!!” I’m a real big optimist so this was more than perfect for me. After being outside taking photos and videos, I decided to call it a night. I think it was the numb sensation in my fingers, toes and nose.

But when we woke up and walked out of our little cottage, I did NOT expect for it to be still snowing and most of the grounds were covered in snow. Apparently this was a really rare occasion for the week, I’ll just call it a special surprise 😉

**in case you were wondering, we stayed in the small town of Capileira in the Sierra Nevada region in a hotel called “Hotel Finca Los Llanos”. It’s just about 2.5 hours driving from where we live in Marbella.

It’s crazy to see how fast 2014 went by. We’re already in 3 days into 2015…there are so many new things in my life: zip code, experiences, and people (to name just a few)

2014 had definitely been a whirlwind of the happiest and the saddest moments I’ve ever experienced in my life. But if there is one thing I can take from all of it is, God has a bigger plan & he’s most definitely in control [of everything].

I look upon 2015 with a calm heart and pray for it to be another year filled with beautiful memories. I don’t want to make resolutions this year, I just want to make myself one promise: happiness.

I hope that everyone enjoys their new year & makes the absolute best of it! I’m excited to see what it has in store for all of us.
