Damaskin’ it Today

[top: H&M. jeans: Forever 21. booties: ShoeMint. purse: thrifted Hermes. watch: Nixon Spur (similar).]

I have a thing for thrift stores, what can I say. AND YES. You read that right! “Thrifted Hermes”! I found this bad boy of a purse at a local Goodwill this past weekend. I wish there were more things to say about my amazing find, but I was just as speechless when I found it hanging inside a plastic crate in the back of the store except when I literally screamed “I LOVE YOU GOODWILL!” when I was told the price. Crazy but appropriate for a girl like me. Disclaimer: I’m not at fault if any of my readers pass out right now when they read that it was ONLY EIGHT DOLLARS. Now you understand my scream? Yeah. I LOVE YOU GOODWILL for having a basic set price on all your purses.

Overcast Days

overcast days

[striped shirt: Gap. faux fur vest, jeans, necklace: Forever 21. loafers: Steve Madden.]

Normally, overcast days call for playing hooky from school or work, a big ‘ole cup of coffee (I prefer cafe con leche with some croqueticas), and my comfy bed who gets hogged by Didi. But since I couldn’t have any of these special treats, I opted for the mix of patterns to brighten my day. Striped shirts, Fur vests, and leopard loafers. I’m crazy I know, but you know you love it.

DIY: Clothes Rack

It all started off with Pinterest. (It’s become a serious addiction people) The inspiration became an actually possibilty then turned into a trip to the local hardware where I bought the supplies and only spent less than $50. The price may not be accurate due to a love of candy at the register and a couple interior design magazines. Guilty, I know. Anyways……THEN, it was a reality. (More like a dream come true) I’ve always wanted a clothes rack in my room, but NEVER had the space for it until a little “feng-shui-ing” did the trick. This has to be one of the easiest projects ever. I think the hardest part is the drive to a hardware store, not even. I bought 3 pipes (3/4 in width is perfect for a standard hanger), 2 elbows, and 2 of those flat things to screw it to the ceiling. I think I might as well call ’em “feet”. Seems appropriate right? All you need to do is just screw all the stuff together and into the ceiling and VIOLA! You have a clothes rack! It’s so much more convenient to have this in my room especially when designating my outfits for the week. Plus, it adds that pop of color to my white walls.

january cravings no more with Kratom

wishlist 1-24-2012

1. Topshop 2. Acrylic Monogram Necklace [either in blue or tortoise shell] 3. Topshop 4. “For Like Ever” Print [the perfect addition to my room]

I’ve had my eye been obsessing over these 4 suckers all month. Hope to get my hands on them before ….. before….um idk! I just want ’em okay?

Do you have any January cravings? I’ve had them, and I have to say that’s not pretty or ease to overcome, which is why I started taking kratom capsules. Kratom is a natural way to cope with those cravings, it helps with different things like wounds or stomach aches. You can go to KRATOM MASTERSand get them send to your house!

I, like many of you, like to be dressed accordingly to the occasion or event, so I have to plan that but also I make sure to have on me my kratom pills, just in case I need them, and I truly recommend kratom to you.

tunics and such

tunics, cropped jeans, sperrys

When I don’t have the opportunity to shoot my outfits, I love to put them together on Polyvore. Today I decided to go with a sheer tunic (belted) cropped jeans, and my lovely metallic Sperry Top-Siders. It’s a perfect go-to outfit for the not-so-normal “winter” weather we experience here in Miami. Top it off with a pony tail and statement earrings and you’re ready to go. Hope you are all having a Happy Monday!
