Funky Florals

blouse: H&M (similar here & here). pants: H&M (similar). shoes: Zara. purse: Michael Kors. glasses: House of Harlow.

There’s nothing like that feeling of wearing a brand new outfit. I did a bit of a shopping spree this past week. (You can’t blame me though.) The nearest H&M to me is almost 2 hours away, so when I decide to make the drive… I make it worthwhile. Hence the fact that you have been seeing more of it in my daily wardrobe.

I’m so in love with this floral print blouse. The versatility of it gives me the opportunity to throw it on with some jeans and heels like these or even with a pair of pants like the ones I have on in this outfit. I subtly snuck in the snake pattern and it fit together so perfectly. Maybe it’s because the shoes are just that amazing. It’s always fun to mix your patterns as long as you don’t go too crazy. Speaking of shoes!…. I’ve got a present for you: 40% Off All Shoes at House of Harlow! Use Coupon Code: 40OFF at Checkout!

You’re welcome. XO. Happy Thursday.

Doing the Polka on Twosday

top: H&M (similar & love this one from ASOS). jeans & red pants: H&M (similar). heels: Nine West. purse: Michael Kors. watch: Nixon. sunglasses: House of Harlow.

Peplum. The epitome of the lady like fit. I’ve never dabbled into the trend until now. Believe it or not, it’s my first peplum purchase. Try saying that three times fast. I couldn’t decide which way I liked better so I shot the top with two different styles. Toned down with distressed denim and funked up with matching red skinnies. While doubling up on outfit choices, I also doubled up on denim with my heels. Don’t they remind you a bit of Charlotte Olympia? Love that about these shoes. My own “steal” find.

Punky Brewster.

blouse: H&M. jacket: Love 21 (similar). pants: ASOS. (Love the matching blazer!) shoes: c/o Shoe Privee. bag: Hermes. accessories: Michael Kors Watch, David Yurman Bracelet, Forever 21 Bracelet, Forever 21 sunglasses (similar).

This has to be one of my favorite outfits ever. Everything about it expresses my 21st century Punky Brewster style. The casual/tomboy-ish-ness of the cargo jacket, the spunk from the floral, and the pizazz from the shoes. Perfection. I’ve recently become a follower of the floral pant trend. I know I splurged a little on these from ASOS, I couldn’t resist the print. BUT I did well in finding you a “steal” on a similar pair from Anthropologie. Yes, I know. You’re welcome. Now, can we please now focus our attention to what’s inhabiting the area south of the ankles?

These heels. are. amazing. Just got them in from ShoePrivee.com. It’s a shoe-subscription website that has a great collection of designer shoes at a VERY affordable price. All shoes start at $39.95. There’s no membership fees & FREE shipping. Hey now! Perfect for us frugalistas out there. Head on over to their site to check out their collection. You won’t regret it.

When Belts Become Bowties.

top: Thrift Find (I found a similar look at ASOS). jeans: Forever 21. heels: Topshop (sold out, but I’ve got my eye on other neon pairs here and here). purse: Zara. sunglasses: Forever 21 (similar).

Agh the fun times when belts get stolen from leopard jumpsuits (from the one I wore here) and become bow ties. It was a wild idea, but I went with it and loved every single bit of androgyny. However, I couldn’t let the crazy train take a stop there at my neck. I let it ride all the way down south of my ankles. The site of lucite and neon bring up the thought that this heel has distinct similarity to that of the infamous “dancer” heels. But oh, are these so far from it. It’s hard to say I haven’t been able to wear these many times, but I still glance at them from a distance in my closet and wonder when these babies will be taken out on the town. But alas, they’ve made their grand entrance. I think by now, you can clearly see the love obsession I have for shoes. I love ’em, what more can I say? Nothing.

I’ll take my outfits in twos please.

I’m beginning to like this whole two outfit “Twosday” thing I got going on here.  It’s fun to make two outfits out of one item from my closet. I went with a similar flow of neutrals in these outfits. Kept the same pants, shoes, and jewelry… but made them individual with a pop of print and color.

the basics:
pants: Love 21 (similar). shoes: (not pictured) Steve Madden. list of things inhabiting my wrist: H&M orange wrap bracelet, Nixon watch, David Yurman bracelet,  ID bracelet (old). ring: Forever 21.

Look #1
top: Twelve by Twelve (old). clutch: H&M (similar).

Look #2
top: River Island (old).  clutch: Forever 21.
