Punky Brewster.

blouse: H&M. jacket: Love 21 (similar). pants: ASOS. (Love the matching blazer!) shoes: c/o Shoe Privee. bag: Hermes. accessories: Michael Kors Watch, David Yurman Bracelet, Forever 21 Bracelet, Forever 21 sunglasses (similar).

This has to be one of my favorite outfits ever. Everything about it expresses my 21st century Punky Brewster style. The casual/tomboy-ish-ness of the cargo jacket, the spunk from the floral, and the pizazz from the shoes. Perfection. I’ve recently become a follower of the floral pant trend. I know I splurged a little on these from ASOS, I couldn’t resist the print. BUT I did well in finding you a “steal” on a similar pair from Anthropologie. Yes, I know. You’re welcome. Now, can we please now focus our attention to what’s inhabiting the area south of the ankles?

These heels. are. amazing. Just got them in from ShoePrivee.com. It’s a shoe-subscription website that has a great collection of designer shoes at a VERY affordable price. All shoes start at $39.95. There’s no membership fees & FREE shipping. Hey now! Perfect for us frugalistas out there. Head on over to their site to check out their collection. You won’t regret it.

Didi has made an appearance.

dress: Forever 21 (sold out, but this one is next on my list). belt: Forever 21. sneakers: Converse (I really want these here & here). arm candy: Silver/Blue bangle (old), Forever 21 Hex Nut bracelet (old), Lauren Elan Misel Bracelet, G-Shock Watch, David Yurman Bracelet. sunglasses: Forever 21.

That dog assistant/best friend/daughter of mine makes my days very bright and full of laughter. Apparently, she would like to add “model” to the aforementioned list. Oh, Didi

I’m not sure if you can tell much of a difference, but I did add a cellophane treatment to my hair just recently to add a bit of a red tone. I’ve been wanting to do something different with my hair, but I’m taking baby steps towards my current hair color obsession. Many have told me I’m a bit crazy for wanting this change, but I might take the plunge and go for it right after graduation. I mean…it is just hair.

Here’s what has my attention these days. What are your thoughts?

(I do not own these photos of Taylor Tomasi Hill; they are c/o Pintrest)

When Belts Become Bowties.

top: Thrift Find (I found a similar look at ASOS). jeans: Forever 21. heels: Topshop (sold out, but I’ve got my eye on other neon pairs here and here). purse: Zara. sunglasses: Forever 21 (similar).

Agh the fun times when belts get stolen from leopard jumpsuits (from the one I wore here) and become bow ties. It was a wild idea, but I went with it and loved every single bit of androgyny. However, I couldn’t let the crazy train take a stop there at my neck. I let it ride all the way down south of my ankles. The site of lucite and neon bring up the thought that this heel has distinct similarity to that of the infamous “dancer” heels. But oh, are these so far from it. It’s hard to say I haven’t been able to wear these many times, but I still glance at them from a distance in my closet and wonder when these babies will be taken out on the town. But alas, they’ve made their grand entrance. I think by now, you can clearly see the love obsession I have for shoes. I love ’em, what more can I say? Nothing.

Spring Break Essentials

It’s right about that time…Spring Break. (Well, for most of us.) The time where all your friends are in town together, you’re going to be by some body of water (whether it be the beach, pool, or you’re on a boat), and you’re ready to have a good time. I’ve put together two outfits that I find the perfect fit for the occasion. I’ve incorporated the biggest trends for this season with a little bit of that Ashley flair. I chose pieces that you can always mix and match and can the idea of making them “cover ups” and put it together as an outfit to go out for a later time.

Look #1: I’m an advocate of taking care of my face when in the sun, so I’m always collecting cool hats that will help me cover up but look great. I love the pop of color this fedora adds to the outfit. Fuchsia is a big color this Spring! This look is completed with color blocking accessories that will make you stand out. (and we all know that’s the important part.)

hat: Target. necklace: Mod Cloth. sandals: Sam Edelman. sunglasses: ASOS. cover up: Topshop. watch: Nixon. bikini: Tara Matthews via The Outnet.

Look #2: Since the weather during this time is getting hotter, but not excruciating like the Summer, you can get away with covering up your tunic with a chambray button down rolled at the sleeves and unbuttoned for that “jean jacket” look.  Put it together with a printed tunic over a bright bikini and some neutral accessories and you are good to go!
