ColorBlocking.

blouse: Forever 21 (similar style). trousers: Forever 21. clutch: Forever 21. (sold out online, but I’m loving this similar style and this one too.) sunglasses: House of Harlow. shoes: ShoeMint “Hattie” (sold out). necklace: Spike The Punch.

I’ve been patiently waiting for the day ShoeMint would debut these flats. Aren’t they awesome? I love the color block, the suede texture, and the pointed toes. They’re so different from the normal flats I wear, but just what my closet was missing. The Hattie will definitely be a staple in my spring/summer wear.

Do you have any advice on color blocking? I’m always scared to overdo it and look like a clown or underdo it and make people wonder why I’m not matching.

Don’t be scared, just go for it! This season it’s not only about color blocking it’s about mixing your patterns too. I like to keep in the jewel tones family, but still go a little crazy and mix the unexpected. I like the pink + reds with a hint of a bright blue or neon yellowish-green, turquoise + purple (maybe a little orange), orange + pink + neutral taupe/beige.
